Manistee Boxing Club Student Wins Amateur Debut in Muskegon

This past weekend,

Manistee Combat Academy’s own Keith Barke stepped into the ring for his debut amateur boxing match in Muskegon — and walked away with a hard-earned victory.

Supported in his corner by Coach Blake and Coach Donovan, Keith put months of training to the test. His preparation at Manistee Boxing Club focused on conditioning, footwork, and ring IQ — all of which showed in the fight. From the opening bell, Keith kept his composure, working behind a disciplined jab and smart defense.

The Muskegon bout was the culmination of countless hours spent inside MCA’s gym on 8th Street in Manistee. It also marks just the beginning of Keith’s boxing journey. With his first win secured, Keith is looking forward to more amateur opportunities and continuing to represent the gym.

At Manistee Combat Academy, we’re proud to provide youth and adult athletes with a place to train in boxing and jiu-jitsu. Whether your goal is fitness, competition, or self-defense, our community is here to help you succeed.
